“Back in October 1999, I had a dream that I had won a jackpot. In
my dream I went to look for a video attendant to key the machine so I
could collect my winnings, and I ran into an attendant I know from an
Indian casino in Miami, Florida, by the name of Gene, so I told him to
come quickly, I just won a big jackpot! We were in the casino the following
month playing Bingo, and when the bingo session was over we had $15 left,
so we decided to play the video machines with that money. I hit the jackpot
for $22,500.00 and sitting with my hubby waiting for the video attendant…guess
who came with key in hand! Gene!!! When I saw him I started shaking. We

but said sure, after all, it was two days before Christmas. So my husband

room. The next day we proceeded to find them an inexpensive 2-room apartment
and got the man a job with my husband’s family business. We set
them up in their new home on Christmas Day and they were ecstatic. The
next day we decided to go to the Bingo hall in our town. About 10 minutes

we happy! And so was the couple we took in, because we had said we’d

“I must be one of the luckiest women in the world! While I was riding
my horse one day, we were coming over a hill at the same time a very loud
car was coming up the same hill from the other direction. It frightened
my horse, which threw me into a ditch! The man stopped to see if I was

“My friend Rhonda has always been there for my husband and myself.
When my daughter Dawn was six years old, a child abuser cut her life short.
Because of the way she passed away, my husband and I were interrogated
by the police for the first three months. The police then discovered it
was my neighbor who was responsible. Rhonda spent almost every waking
hour helping us take care of our other children by cooking meals, and
